The short version. We collect very little, we don't sell or share what we do collect, and you can ask us to delete anything we have about you at any time.

About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Founder Series Foundation (the "Foundation," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information from visitors to founderseries.org and from anyone who contacts us, attends our programming, mentors with us, or partners with us.

Founder Series Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization. We are currently in the process of incorporating and securing 501(c)(3) status.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to operate the Foundation and respond to you.

  • Information you give us directly — for example, when you email us, sign up for programming, register as a mentor, or apply to a workshop. This typically includes your name, email address, and whatever else you choose to share.
  • Basic site analytics — anonymized data about how visitors use founderseries.org (pages viewed, general location, device type). We use this to understand which content is useful and to improve the site.

What we do not collect

  • We do not buy lists or import contact data from third-party brokers.
  • We do not require accounts to read our content.
  • We do not track you across other websites.

How we use your information

We use the information you share with us to:

  • Respond to your messages and inquiries.
  • Operate, schedule, and follow up on programming you've opted into.
  • Send Foundation updates and information you've asked to receive.
  • Improve the Foundation's programs, communications, and the founderseries.org website.
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Period.

Your rights

You always have control over your information. You can:

  • Request a copy of any information we have about you.
  • Ask for corrections if something is inaccurate.
  • Ask us to delete your information from our records.
  • Unsubscribe from any emails you've opted into, at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@founderseries.org. We'll respond within 30 days.

How we store and protect your information

Information you share with us is stored on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption and access controls. We limit access to information to people who need it to do Foundation work.

Children's privacy

Some of the people we serve are middle school and high school students. When Foundation programming involves minors, we collect only what is necessary for the program, and we require parent or guardian consent through the schools, organizations, or partners through which the programming is delivered.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 through this website. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted services to operate:

  • Microsoft Azure — hosting and storage.
  • Squarespace — domain registration.
  • Google Workspace — email (planned).

These providers process information on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments and our agreements with them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Foundation's work evolves. We'll post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to people who have given us their contact information.
